All magicians and magic enthusiasts are welcome to become members of IBM Ring #74. In order to join, you must first become a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. To apply for membership, visit the official IBM website at www.magician.org. On your membership application, simply indicate that you wish to join Ring #74. When you join the I.B.M., you will receive a handsome membership certificate, suitable for framing, a handsome lapel pin, and an official membership card. You will also gain access to the members-only areas of the IBM Website, as well as a subscription to "The Linking Ring," The official monthly magazine of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, with news and inside information about everything that's happening in the magic world. Once you are a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, you may become a local member of Ring #74. Prospective members are required to perform a 10-minute presentation on magic. For magician members, this would entail a short magic routine. Non-Magician members (such as magic historians or collectors) might do a presentation relating to the nature of their interest in magic. Once welcomed into Ring #74, new members are honored in a special ceremony at our annual banquet. One of the great advantages of membership is free access to the Salt City Mmagic Club's extensive library of performance and teaching videos, which members may check-out. They cover a wide range of information and instruction in the magical arts in skill levels from beginner to expert. |
